Hello Aquatics Team Family!!

On behalf of the DSHS Aquatics board, I would like to welcome our returning and new swimmers and your families to the 2021-2022 swim season!

We are so excited to welcome back many of our swim team events this season including team dinners, team breakfasts, and have families attend our swim meets in person!

We have a lot of exciting information to share so PLEASE READ!

1. Registration is Open!!: Our goal is to have 100% of our athletes and families participate in our booster club. The booster club fees go directly to support your athlete by providing a team shirt, team cap, and admission to the end of the season’s banquet.

Booster club membership provides opportunities for families to stay in touch with volunteer opportunities, coaches’ emails, and Spiritwear shop items.   

2. Physicals: Physicals will be due before the first practice (Aug. 23) and need to be turned into the Athletic Office at the DSHS Stadium Field House.

3. Register my Athlete: Every athlete needs to register through the UIL register my athlete portal before they can start practice on August 23.

4. First Day/Week of School: For the first week of school, students should report to the cafeteria for 1st/5thperiod by 9:00.

5. Swimmer/Parent Kick-Off Party: We are excited to welcome back our kickoff party!! You will get to meet coaches, team members, families, and board members. This is your chance to sign up to volunteer for various committees we have available.

Saturday, August 21 from 5-7 pm at the DSHS Cafeteria (enter by C lot doors).

Please bring a dish to share (and serving utensils your dish needs). Plates, utensils, and water will be provided. Please remember alcohol is prohibited.

Please bring the following item based on your student’s grade level:
Freshmen: Sides/Carbs/Veggies
Sophomore: Salads/Fruit
Junior: Main Dish

When you decide what you will bring, add it to the google doc so we don’t duplicate it.

6. Swimtopia Shop: The shop is open to purchase everything your athlete needs for the new season. Team shirts, suits, caps, and sponsorships.

If your swimmer is unsure about their size – Swim Freak will be at the kickoff party to do a suit fitting.
