Coach Hos has been involved in swimming in some fashion for over 30 years. He started as a Summer leaguer in Omaha, Nebraska, and swam his way through the club, high school, and collegiate ranks. Coach Hos was a 24-time NCAA Division II All-American and 2x team captain at Truman State University. This will be his fifth season as Head Coach with DSHS, after serving as the assistant coach in 2020-21.
He was previously the head coach at Houston Stratford for 17 years. In his career, he has coached numerous high school All- Americans, Texas State Champions, and UIL state record holders. Coach Hos led the SHS boys to back-to-back state titles in 2012 and 2013, and has been named by his peers as the District (23x), Region (15x), and State (3x) High School Swim Coach of the Year. He was also named the TISCA Water Polo Coach of the Year in 2009. He is enjoying the change of scenery along with his wife Jen, and two daughters, Anna and Laurel.
Coach Kelly enters her second year as a Biology teacher and the Assistant Swim Coach. Sports have always been a huge passion of hers. Coach Kelly graduated from the University of Idaho with a Masters in Athletic Training and enjoyed working with several different sports teams at various colleges and high schools across the U.S.
Swimming played a major role in her life from a young age. She began swimming Summer league at six years old and furthered her career at SwimAtlanta for the next 12 years, as well as throughout her high school career. She spent numerous Summers throughout college coaching the Summer league team she had grown up swimming for.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and doing outdoor activities. Coach Kelly is thrilled to be involved in this incredible sport again as a part of Drip Aquatics. She enjoys building relationships with the team and offering mentorship in any way possible.
